The Mettler HR83 moisture balance is ideally suited for determining the moisture content of various substances using the thermogravimetric principle.
The thermogravimetric principle means that the sample weight is determined at the beginning of the measurement. The sample is then quickly heated by the integrated halogen heating module, and the moisture evaporates.
During the drying process, the moisture balance continuously measures the sample weight and displays the moisture reduction. Once drying is complete, the moisture or solids content of the sample is displayed as the final result.
Furthermore, the halogen heating module of the Mettler HR83 can reach its maximum heating capacity more quickly and allows the use of high temperatures, thus completing the drying process more quickly.
