This Welch vacuum pump is a belt drive rotary vane pump. Belt drive pumps run at slower RPM, resulting in lower temperature. This pump is ruggedized and built to perform and last in demanding environments and applications.
The belt driven pump has a high oil capacity which also yields a high contamination tolerance. The lower operational RPM, which is about 3 times less than a direct drive rotary vane pump, will result in a longer service life due to lower operational temperature and less wear and tear.
This pump is barely used and comes with an exhaust filter and a trolley to move the pump easily.
